television listings and soap magazines act as a weekly access to gossip outside of a soap opera this is particularly evident through the ways in which a typical headline would say something like " will she kill sis." and other referances to a soap operas Narrative.

As an auxillary task we were required to create our own televisions listings magazine using well known magazines as a template i attempted to create a nagazube civer related to our own soap.

Stylistic Features of Soap Magazines

BOld Front covers- these are used in order to capture the eyes of religious viewers of the soap.

use of elipsis -relating to the soaps narrative for e.g. "Will peg, peg it in the Vic. " For a reader to fully understand this they would have to be relatively familliar with the soap itself.

Bold annotated Pictures of characters either in Character or out of character in instances where the Magazine is interviewing the actor out of character.

Above: here is a typical example of a weekly Tv Mag the one thing which stands out most here is the bold use of the exclamated "The truth is out." this particlar sentence intrgues audiences as it leaves audiences wondering "What Truth." The photographs are almost layered on one another and this is an effect i attempted to apply within my own work particularly whilst using Photoshop where i used Layers to build a typical graphalogic Layout.

What went well:

* I most liked the way in which i used individual boxes to preview different soaps this feature is conventionally conmmon of a tv listings magazine as they attempt to give the audience the imppression that they are getting Value for thier money.

* I also felt as if the use of the love heart and the characters in the love heart gave the audience a sense of what was going to unfold within the narrative.

Even Better If;

* I feel as if i could have highlighted the narrative more within the fromt cover by using a brighter colour font as seen on the cover of tv listings in yellow.
